BUJUMBURA December 23rd (ABP) – The first lady of the country, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye received, on Thursday, December 22, 2022, Iametti Caterina, the Consul of Italy to Burundi. She came to give her a 4Dk ultrasonograph, donated to the Umugiraneza polyclinic, a work of the “Bonne Action Umugiraneza Foundation”.

The ultrasonograph, worth around 30,000 euros, was offered by the Italian ambassador to Burundi, Massimiliano Mazzanti, who has his head office in Uganda, with the support of the Italian association “Aiu tiamo il Burundi”. (We support Burundi).

According to Mrs. Iametti, that donation supports the efforts that the First Lady is making, helping people in need, especially women and children.

Mrs. Ndayishimiye expressed her gratitude to the Italian ambassador to Burundi, the “Aiu tiamo Burundi” association and all the Italian people who continue to support Burundi. She noted that the ultrasonograph is the first equipment received among several others promised to the polyclinic by the Italian ambassador to Burundi. For her, that device, the most efficient ever recorded in Burundi, will benefit the entire Burundian population.
