BUJUMBURA December 20th (ABP) – Cracks in the vicinity of the Ntahangwa River are threatening houses in Mutanga North neighborhood. The inhabitants of that locality have started to move to save their lives, a check by ABP got informed on Monday, December 19, 2022.
The inhabitants met on the site are desperate. They indicate that this phenomenon is beyond comprehension. People living in those surroundings ask for help from the government of Burundi. They call for the intervention of geologists to study the ground of that place in order to see if it is possible to protect the part which is not yet affected because if nothing is done, those cracks risk destroying all the neighborhood surrounding that river.
