CIBITOKE December 14th (ABP) – A torrential rain that fell in the evening of December 11 destroyed several houses and damaged hundreds of hectares of various crops in Mugina commune.
According to the communal administrator, Mrs. Julienne Ndayihaya, 102 houses were destroyed by that harsh climate, 203 hectares of beans were damaged, 174 hectares of maize and even 54 hectares of banana plantation were destroyed by the strong wind and 134 hectares of cassava were damaged. She appealed to the people to local solidarity and asked the government and benefactors to come to the aid of the population victim of that rain.
