MWARO September 6th (ABP) – In the presence of the Vice-President of the Republic Prosper Bazombanza, the governor of Mwaro province Col Gaspard Gasanzwe held on Sunday, Sept 4, a meeting of natives working in all corners of the country and abroad, in the conference room of the INSP located in Bujumbura.
The items on the agenda were the presentation of the achievements of the 2021-2022 financial year, evaluation of the implementation of the recommendations of the previous general assembly in support of the university of Mwaro and the Olympic stadium Gasumo ka Mwaro and the outlook for the year 2022-2023.
Speaking, the Vice-President of the Republic Mr. Bazombanza warmly thanked all the natives of Mwaro, who give themselves body and soul in the development of the province. He invited them to love work, participate more in community development work, have a patriotic spirit and others. For him, the Mwaro province will not be developed without the part of the natives.
The governor of the province, col Gaspard Gasanzwe indicated that the achievements of 2021-2022 are satisfactory.
The governor’s chief of staff, Mr. Athanase Ciza presented the contribution of the natives on the two major projects. For the support of the University of Mwaro, they contributed up to 82.33% and for the construction of the stadium, they arrive at a sum of 19,818,000 BIF. Before the end of the meeting, they agreed to redouble their efforts for the next three months, in order to improve the contributions and thus achieve the realization of the two projects.
