BUBANZA June 26th (ABP) – The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, hosted, on Thursday June 23, in the headquarters of Bubanza province (north-west of Burundi), an awareness session for young people, in school, on wisdom, leadership, reproductive health and the fight against HIV / AIDS, according to the ABP has revealed. The beneficiaries of that sensitization were the students of the high school of Bubanza.

The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi invites young students to adopt appropriate behavior in respect of Burundian values ​​and customs, and for their better future and well-being. This because, she continues, it is the category of the active population that the country still needs for its development. She asks them, especially during this holiday period, to avoid diving into adultery, drunkenness, drugs and other things that could prevent them from getting their diplomas.

She advises them, therefore, to look for useful occupations, to avoid laziness and to work, always, with a vision and that the word of God is always a reference for them.

It is up to parents to set aside time to discuss reproductive health with their children, she adds. She warned men who incite young girls to adultery or who rape them, that they run penalties in accordance with the law, we learned on the spot.

The first lady of the country donated 150 mattresses, balls and sportswear to the Bubanza high school, with the aim of facilitating these students to study well and improve their health. And another 50 mattresses were donated to Musigati communal hospital.
