MAKAMBA May 16th (ABP) – The governor of Makamba province (southern Burundi), Mrs. Françoise Ngozirazana, in the company of her advisers, gathered on Friday, May 13, 2022, the administrators, their permanent executive secretaries and their advisers to assess progress of development activities and study ways to improve good governance, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

Mrs. Ngozirazana asked the administrators and their advisers to call on the joint security committees to reinforce security to cut short the thefts observed in the fields.

She asked them to organize raids in the areas to collect the grievances of the population and continue to welcome the population.

The participants asked people who had lawsuits before the National Land and Other Assets Commission (CNTB) to wait for the government’s instruction on this. However, the population will have to respect the execution decisions of the CNTB which have already been made despite the fact that the CNTB has completed its mandate.

To resolve the lack of desk benches in schools, the Governor of Makamba asked the administrators to contribute to have planks, because the province received trees from the Ministry in charge of the Environment to produce them.

She also reminded them that they must protect public infrastructure and state lands. These administrators are also invited to prepare well for the next growing season.
