KARUSI May 12th (ABP) – The governor of Karusi province, Mrs. Calinie Mbarushimana held a security meeting for the administrators from the base to the top, a meeting which saw the participation of the provincial commissioner of police, the commander of the 210th Kamahoro brigade, all communal administrators and communal commissioners, CNDD-FDD party secretaries from the base to the top and heads of services, Wednesday May 11, 2022.

Only one item on the agenda, namely the security of the province, announced Mrs. Calinie Mbarushimana at the opening of the debates. Within a month, as yet unidentified criminals committed stabbings killing three human lives in Shombo and Bugenyuzi communes, “we must not sit back”, said Mrs. Mbarushimana.

Strategies must be devised to end it because this is a telling sign of a slack in vigilance, she said. The use of registers for visitors, the revitalization of joint safety committees with respect for the new restructuring, the regularity of village side safety meetings, the monitoring of producers and consumers of prohibited drinks and the fight against superstitious beliefs were recommended.

“We cannot guarantee security if the criminals are always released as soon as they are caught”, complained some administrators who accuse the justice system of taking the offenses committed lightly and discourage the population, which has done everything to apprehend them.

Governor Mbarushimana reassured them, recalling that the question of judges who behave badly is already known at the level of the Presidency of the Republic.
