MURAMVYA March 30th (ABP) – The natives of Muramvya province (central-western Burundi) are called upon to properly maintain the infrastructures already erected on their respective villages. Those are the words of the chairman of the provincial development committee, Mr. Gabriel Nizigama, during the presentation, by the provincial governor Mr. Diomède Nzambimana, of the annual report and exchange of wishes between the natives and friends of the province, a check on the site by ABP has revealed. Mr. Nzambimana said that the development work is positively appreciated. He pointed out in particular that we have contributed enormously in the construction of bridges, inter-communal roads and playgrounds in the communes.

The governor of Muramvya province also pointed out that the main concern of the natives and friends of Muramvya, is to see the royal stadium under construction in accordance with FIFA standards operational. Various participants in this meeting promised to contribute so that the construction work of this stadium, which lasts a long time, is completed as soon as possible. They accepted funds equivalent to approximately 200 million Burundian francs for the finishing of the works of the royal stadium of Muramvya. Those natives are also planning other projects including the construction of a provincial university, lodgings housing the presidential palace and communal lodgings.

As for the chairman of the development committee of Muramvya, he recalled that development is everyone’s responsibility. It is up to everyone to properly maintain the infrastructure that is already operational, he insisted.

According to Mr. Nizigama, the combination of efforts is still necessary, but there are activities that must be done without the recourse of all the natives of the province, because everyone must watch over the development of their native village, he said. underline.
