CANKUZO March 22nd (ABP) – The Cankuzo province (eastern Burundi) received, on Saturday March 19, 2022, a contribution equivalent to 56 bags of cement from the “friends of the commune” group, a check by ABP revealed.

After having spoken about the genesis of that “friends of the commune” group made up of members from different provinces of the country, its representative, Mr. Thaddée Nyandwi, indicated that the love of the native village, the moral and material support for the benefit of the people for development work as well as social cohesion without distinction of origin or ethnic group are the main objectives of that group. He added that this group is committed to touring all the communes of the country.

The governor of Cankuzo province, Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako, thanked the members of that group for that initiative. He urged the people to follow that example and seek development partners at all levels.

The people of that province expressed their thanks to that group, saying that this gesture encourages them on the path of family and community development.

It is worth noting that this group, which will soon become an association, joined those people in the community development work consisting of the earthworks around the provincial office in extension.
