KIRUNDO February 16th (ABP) – The governor of Kirundo province, Mr. Albert Hatungimana, accompanied by the heads of provincial services, went to Gitobe commune on Monday February 14th 2022 to hold the debate with the population of this commune, aiming to realize their grievances, we noted on the spot.

The observation is that the population of the Gitobe commune is particularly concerned about the problem of land disputes and that of cohabitation.

Traders in Gitobe have reported that the lack of electricity is hampering their activities. Here, Governor Hatungimana reassured them, indicating that the electrification project of this commune is there and that the implementation is in progress.

Another concern of the population of this municipality mentioned is the poor functioning of the networks of the

companies of Lumitel and Econet-Leo, which handicaps communication.

On this problem, the provincial governor promised to submit this problem to the concerned to correct the irregularities.

In general, the governor found solutions to quite a few grievances, especially non-justice issues. For those which require the intervention of justice, the magistrates who were on the spot promised to follow closely all the disputes to render justice as soon as possible.

For those who did not have the chance to express themselves, the provincial governor asked them to approach the administrator of Gitobe, Mrs. Georgine Dusabe to collect their grievances which will be dealt with in the future.

In all the raids already carried out by the provincial governor in the various municipalities of Kirundo, the ABP has found that some challenges are common, in particular land disputes and cohabitation.

It should be noted that the provincial governor plans to visit the remaining Bugabira and Ntega communes.
