Young people are called on to avoid divisionism in their development work

BUJUMBURA December 27th (ABP) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, joined the Christians of the Kamenge Youth Center on Saturday December 25, in Bujumbura, for the mass marking the celebration of the Christmas Day, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In his occasional speech, the Head of State wished a Christmas of peace, hope and comfort to all Christians.

All in all, the Head of State commends the initiative of the founders of the Kamenge Youth Center, because, he added, this center is involved in the development of the country as it brings together young people.

In his homily, Father Butoyi Séverin, the treasurer and head of staff of the center, congratulated the presidential couple for having responded to the invitation.

He also indicated that this center lasts for 29 years and its objectives are to unify all the young people of the City of Bujumbura in order to teach them how to eradicate bad acts including adultery, drunkenness, ethnicity, and so forth, regardless of their religious and ethnic affiliations.

He also pointed out that this center also allows young people to self-develop.

Note that Father Butoyi Séverin wished the presidential family a happy Christmas Day filled with divine blessing.
