The presidential couple have exchanged the best wishes with the defense and security forces

BUJUMBURA December 27th (ABP) – The defense and security corps organized on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the – Cercle hippique – of the City of Bujumbura, the best wishes-exchange ceremonies between the presidential couple and the two bodies, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In his speech, the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Alain Tribert Mutabazi, on behalf of the defense corps, wished the presidential couple best wishes, also wishing them every success in their noble functions of leading the country.

He also thanked the Head of State for having responded to the invitation of those two bodies to share the joy with them. This is an important sign that the President of the Republic supports the defense and security corps, Mr. Alain Tribert Mutabazi said.

On behalf of the security bodies, the Minister of Community Development and Public Security, Mr. Gervais Ndirakobuca, reiterated his commitment to support and obey the President of the Republic by ensuring the security of the people as well as their property.

Taking the floor, the President of the Republic, Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye, also made best wishes to the national defense and security corps. “May the year 2022 be a year of peace and prosperity”, the President of the Republic wished them.

He also indicated that this year 2021 was a year of blessing, because, he added, the United Nations (UN) lifted its sanctions against Burundi. In addition, the UN commends Burundi in maintaining peace in other countries, President Ndayishimiye said.

He did not forget to point out that the UN has also promised Burundi to maintain peace in the Republic of Mali.
