BUBANZA December 1st (ABP) – The Commander of the 1st Military Division, Brigadier General Nyamugaruka, along with the Governor of Bubanza, Mr. Cleophas Nizigiyimana, held a security meeting on Monday November 29, 2021 for the residents of Rugazi commune (north-west of Burundi). They discussed each other’s role in safeguarding peace and security, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

According to General Nyamugaruka, the inhabitants of that commune of Rugazi should be vigilant more than others because, he says, it is one of the communes close to the natural forest of Kibira, which can be used by criminals. to disrupt security. He asked the inhabitants of this locality to carry out a synergistic work and to fulfill suitably, each one his role, to safeguard peace and security. To local administrators, representatives of political parties, religious denominations and others, General Nyamugaruka called on them to teach their leaders about patriotism and to fulfill their role properly, in the safeguard of peace and security which, according to him, are major pillars of development.

To bikers, he asked them to always, double the vigilance about their customers and luggage, and to report in real time whenever they suspect them. “Security must be everyone’s business and beneficial to all,” he added.

One of the speakers in this meeting, Bernard Barahinyuza, asked the administrators at the base, the exchange of information related to security with their hierarchical heads, so that decisions are taken as quickly as possible, for the prevention.
