BUBANZA November 8th (ABP) – The inhabitants of Bubanza province (north-west of Burundi) are called upon to work to increase production because, it is from the products sold in the markets that the communes derive taxes for the implementation of development projects, this was revealed at the meeting held by the governor of Bubanza on Thursday, November 4, in Bubanza commune.

The inhabitants of Bubanza commune are asking for drinking water supply in the Buvyuko zone where there are even health centers that operate without drinking water or electricity. They are also asking for the construction of a health center in Cimbizi village, the rehabilitation of bridges over the Kajeke river, and the rehabilitation of tracks, a check by ABP revealed.

In that meeting, the governor of Bubanza province, Cleophas Nizigiyimana, invited the people of the province to devote themselves to self-development work for the increase of production because, he said, the communes collect taxes which allow them to implement all these projects from products sold in the markets.

Governor Nizigiyimana invited agricultural instructors to provide good support to farmers in order to increase agricultural production. The other appeal was to safeguard peace and security, which remains the major pillar of development, he continued to say.
