CIBITOKE June 23rd (ABP) – Police seized at least 24 fraudulent loincloths of Congolese origin were seized on Sunday, June 20 at the Nyamitanga barrier, Buganda commune, in Cibitoke province.

Had it not been for the vigilance of the police, four traffickers in those loincloths had all tried to camouflage their goods by wrapping them around their bodies, using ropes, before putting on their shirts.

The traffickers are Sylvère Hafashimana caught with seven loincloths wrapped around his body; Fabrice Ndayisenga and Ildephonse Bizimana, each with six loincloths, while Cédric Ndayiragije was apprehended in possession of five unpaid loincloths. Thus, the administrative and police officials called on the people to cut short with that kind of fraud and to learn to work legally and to contribute for the construction of the country, instead of wanting to get rich by going through unauthorized channels.
