GITEGA March 21st (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, received on Friday March 15 in Kibimba, at the headquarters of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza foundation, members of the women’s league of the CNDD-FDD party, who were in the company of delegations from different countries to join them in the celebration of the day dedicated to women members of that party (Umukenyererarugamba day), a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The purpose of the visit was to see the works of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza foundation initiated by the First Lady in Kibimba village in Giheta commune in Gitega province, notably the Umugiraneza polyclinic.

Mrs. Ndayishimiye thanked members of the women’s league affiliated with the CNDD-FDD party for visiting her foundation to encourage her. That foundation started with few resources to support visually impaired people, she said, indicating that little by little, it integrated other services within the Umugiraneza polyclinic, and more especially the service which supports the couples who are infertile but are legally married. She pointed out that there are already supported infertile couples who have given birth. Based on that, the First Lady took that opportunity to call on couples who have that problem to consult the specialists of the said hospital without spending more money by going for treatment abroad because, she said, some of those who send them abroad benefit from the commissions.

On behalf of those delegations, a woman from Tanzania warmly thanked the First Lady for the actions she has already accomplished in the field of health because, she said, these works honor the country and the people Bakenyererarugamba of which the First Lady is a member. She asked Burundians to always pray for the presidential couple in order to continue to develop the country.

The CNDD-FDD party, represented by the national secretary in charge of leagues affiliated to that party, Mr. Denis Karera, presented the First Lady with a gift that the CNDD-FDD offered her as encouragement for her works which honor that party.

Note that members of the women’s league affiliated with the CNDD-FDD party, along with foreign delegations who came to support them, also visited the construction site of an altar “Igicaniro c’izerano” erected in the Bwoga district in Gitega commune.
