Eight ambassadors have presented their credentials to the President of the Republic

BUJUMBURA, February 16th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, received in audience eight ambassadors who came to present their credentials to him.

These are the new ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Yahya Bin Ahmed Okeish, whose head office is based in Dar Es Saalam; Mr. Silvio José Albuquerque e Silva, new ambassador of Brazil; and Mr. Jeong Woo-Jin, new ambassador of South Korea, whose head office is in Kigali, Rwanda.

The President of the Republic also received the new ambassador of South Africa, Mr. Mbulelo Shadrack Bungane and Mrs. Amira Abdelrahim Ali Mostapha, new ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, whose head office is in Bujumbura.

Mrs. Jenny Isabella Da Rin, new Ambassador of Australia with head office in Nairobi, Kenya ; Mr. Sikder Bodiruzzaman, new Ambassador of Bangladesh based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Mr. Upender Singh Rawat, new Ambassador of India, based in Kampala, Uganda, were also received by the President of the Republic and presented him their credentials.

According to the spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Mrs. Rosine Guilène Gatoni, those ambassadors described the bilateral relations between their respective countries and Burundi as excellent. They expressed the common wish to further strengthen them with mutually beneficial partnerships in different development sectors of common interest.
