CANKUZO, December 28th (ABP) – Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye called on the people to self-development and help others develop. He made that appeal on December 26, 2023, on the first day of the thanksgiving prayer at the end of the year 2023, at Buhumuza stadium in Cankuzo province.
In his speech, the President of the Republic indicated that the moment of prayer is an opportunity to share advice, referring to the word of God.
He made it known that the vigilant man is the one who fights against poverty. He added that a true leader is one who takes the lead in development.
It is in that context that the President of the Republic urged the participants to change their mentality and make Burundi, God’s country, an exemplary country for development. He also urged everyone to have the vision of self-development and help the vulnerable to develop.
It was at the time when Pastor Denise Nkurunziza, in her preaching, also called on the people to share, a source of blessings, but to cut short with all forms of theft and corruption.
