Seven classrooms destroyed in torrential rain

CIBITOKE September 15^th (ABP) – Four days before the start of the 2023-2024 School Year, torrential rain mixed with violent wind destroyed seven classrooms at Nyamirambo Basic School, in Bukinanyana commune, in Cibitoke province. According to the communal administrator, Christian Nkurikiye, that bad weather struck Masango village and its nearby localities on the night of September 12 to 13, and also destroyed around a hundred houses and damaged more than 30 hectares of crops. That manager reassures his people. He calls on the inhabitants of Masango to rehabilitate the walls without delay, while his commune is in the process of collecting metal sheets for the roofs. As for the damaged houses and crops, the administrator appeals to the natives of his commune, for the practice of local solidarity
