BUJUMBURA September 13th (ABP) – A hippopotamus succumbed to its injuries after a fight between it and another on the night of September 11 to 12 in the locality of Kigaramango, near the Rusizi River, not far from the bridge of that river, at the entrance to the town of Gatumba observed the ABP on site.
The police quickly dispatched a security detail to prevent people from taking it.
They then called the officials of the Rusizi Park who should decide on the use of that prey, after examinations by a veterinary technician, either selling it at auction for the consumption of meat or burying it if it cannot be consumed.
