BUJUMBURA August 23rd (ABP) – The President of the Senate, Mr. Emmanuel Sinzohagera, honored with his presence, on Tuesday August 22, 2023, a three-day conference organized by the African Ministry of Compassion (MAC), for the benefit of young people from different churches of Ntahangwa commune in Bujumbura city council. The conference was organized around the theme: “The strength of youth in the development of the country”.
In his preaching, Mr. Sinzohagera said that to develop a country, it is important to discover its opportunities that can help create jobs, know its administrative division and protect its environment in order to initiate beneficial projects.
He pointed out that the youth plays an important role in the development of the country. To succeed in this development, he invited young people to fight against laziness, respect time and associate with others to exchange ideas in order to embark on profitable projects.
The President of the Senate did not fail to call on them to align themselves with the Government’s vision of making Burundi an emerging country in 2040 and a developed country in 2060.
The legal representative of the MAC, Aimé Pascal Nduwumwami, said that they organized the said conference with the aim of sensitizing young people on the importance of going about development activities in addition to the activities of serving God in their churches.
It is also a question of supporting the wish of the President of the Republic, which stipulates that “every mouth should have something to eat and every pocket, money”.
Mr. Nduwumwami ended his remarks by inviting the young people present at the conference to be exemplary in their respective families and even in their churches in terms of sustainable development.
