KIRUNDO August 22nd (ABP) – The representation of the CNDD-FDD party in Kirundo province (northern Burundi), organized on Saturday August 19, 2023, congresses in the Kirundo and Busoni communes, to proceed with the elections of new leaders of the said party in the two communes, while complying with the administrative reform, and knowing that the Kirundo province will be made of the two communes only.
In those elections, Mr. Tite Habimana was elected secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Kirundo commune, while Mr. François Xavier Karenzo is now secretary of the party in Busoni commune.
They will be assisted by the deputy secretary, the secretary in charge of development, the one in charge of the youth league, and that of the women’s league. There is also the office secretary and the veterans league secretary.
The current secretary of that ruling party in Kirundo province, Mrs. Médiatrice Kankuyo, congratulated the officials-elect and urged them to work courageously in order to consolidate the party, and to prepare for the approaching election period, in order to win the 2025 elections.
It is worthy to note that the Kirundo, Bugabira, Ntega and Vumbi communes constitute the new commune of Kirundo, while the Busoni, Bwambarangwe and Gitobe communes constitute the new commune of Busoni.
