The Speaker of the National Assembly has received in audience the Ambassador of Tanzania to Burundi

BUJUMBURA August 21st (ABP) – The President of the National Assembly, Daniel Gélase Ndabirabe, received in audience on Friday August 18, 2023, in Bujumbura, the Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Jilly Elibariki Maleko, who came to bid him farewell at the end of her diplomatic term in Burundi.

In an interview with the press at the end of the audience, the Speaker of the National Assembly said that this audience was an opportunity to discuss the results of the achievements that have been made by that ambassador. He further indicated that relations have been excellent to such an extent that many activities have been carried out, in particular the facilities which have been given to Burundians to receive nationalities, relations around the railway which will unite Tanzania, Burundi and the DRC, exchanges of information and experience in quite a few fields and many others. Honorable Ndabirabe further indicated that, for its part, Burundi appreciates the excellent ties that have been established and consolidated between Burundi and Tanzania at the highest level, but also and above all, between the people of Burundi and those of Tanzania.
