City dwellers are called on to devote themselves to development work

BUJUMBURA March 7th (ABP) – Chief Justice Emmanuel Gateretse joined forces on Saturday March 4, 2023, with the inhabitants of the City of Bujumbura in community development work which consisted of growing trees around the banks of the Ntahangwa River.

The work attendees included various authorities of Bujumbura City Council, among others, the provincial secretary of the ruling party, the chief of staff in the office of the mayor and the administrator of Mukaza commune.

On behalf of the government, the chief justice congratulated the inhabitants of Bujumbura City for having attended that work massively. He asked them to always be characterized by love and respect for the laws in the implementation of development works.

He ended his remarks by calling on the inhabitants of Bujumbura City Council to devote themselves to development work and to support the objective of the “Ewe Burundi urambaye” program.

Note that more than 1,800 trees have been grown the same day.
