CIBITOKE February 21st (ABP) – The “Bene Samuragwa” group joined on Saturday, February 18, the inhabitants of Rugombo commune, in Cibitoke province, in community work consisting of the maintenance of the courtyard, the cleaning and painting of the walls of the School for the Deaf and Dumb being built in Karurama village. That work was honored with the presence of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Frédéric Budomo.

In his speech, he made it known that community work concerns everyone, without distinction. To the village leaders, he asked them to have, each time, a monthly calendar, for the community works. Thus, he pointed out that where there is love of labor and unity, peace and security automatically reign there. As for the representative of the “Bene Samuragwa” group, the priorities of that organization are social issues and the development of the country, through community work. Faced with the finishing works of the storey-building of the School for the Deaf and Dumb, that group has given an envelope of 33,948,800 BIF for the purchase of 1,191 bags of cement to be used for the finishing works of that social infrastructure.

The “Bene Samuragwa” group also took the opportunity to provide the 24 orphans living in Buganda commune with food and non-food aid, including rice, beans, sugar and oil, worth 1.2 million francs.
