BUJUMBURA February 13 (ABP) – The First Lady of the country received in audience, on Monday, February 13, 2023, two personalities. These are Mr. Judicaël Elidge, new resident representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to Burundi and Mr. Damien Mama, resident coordinator of the United Nations system to Burundi.

Mr. Elidge, UNFPA new representative two months ago, has come to renew his gratitude for the commitment of the First Lady on issues related to the UNFPA mandate in Burundi. He said that UNFPA is committed to supporting the actions of the First Lady “to transform the lives of Burundians and for the welfare of Burundians”.

For his part, the resident coordinator of the United Nations system to Burundi, came to say goodbye to her at the end of his mission in Burundi. He thus indicated that the United Nations system to Burundi “had collaborated a lot with the Office of the First Lady on issues related to the rights of women and children” in the fields of health, protection, education and food.
