RUTANA January 30th (ABP) – The Minister of National Education and Scientific Research, Dr François Havyarimana, visited Rutana province last week, in continuation of his visits to all the provinces of the country, to collect the concerns of the people and education personnel, a check in Rutana by ABP has revealed.

In his speech of the day, Dr. Havyarimana indicated that as students wanting to enroll in universities need documents attesting to the completion and success of secondary studies, all secondary school principals who have not yet issued diplomas or certificates to the graduates of the 2020-2021 school year and previous years, will be suspended from their duties.

The same sanctions will be imposed on directors who, in a fortnight, will have not yet sent the diplomas of the students to the ministry, for their signatures, so that the entitled persons receive documents in time, he continued to say.

Regarding the issue of food prices, which have risen in these days, which is causing difficulties in catering for students in boarding schools, Dr. Havyarimana urged the leaders of those schools to grow crops in the arable spaces belonging to their institutions, in order to make up for the lack caused by such a rise in prices.

About the teaching staff who make mistakes in the workplace, he called on leaders to punish them, while remaining within the standards of the law. Note that Minister Havyarimana called on everyone to work hard to improve results in the education sector.
