KARUSI January 31st (ABP) – Among the major files left by outgoing governor Calinie Mbarushimana to the new governor, Mrs. Devote Nizigiyimana, are two ravines that threaten Buhiga commune, one in Gatare of Buhiga village, another in Kigoma of Buhinyuza zone in the same commune. After technical analysis on Friday January 27, community development work was organized on Saturday January 28th to channel rainwater collected from the residential neighborhood of Kigoma. A large crowd of people responded to the appointment to lay out a large water channel and dig a large water collection hole.
The administrator of Buhiga, Thérence Bacebaseme, although satisfied with the intervention, asks the national disaster management platform to do everything possible to protect property and people under threat.
