The Minister in charge of Health continues his trip to Rutana province

RUTANA January 25th (ABP) – The Minister of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS, Dr Sylvie Nzeyimana, made a visit to Rutana province on Monday, January 23, 2023. The trip is part of the continuation of the visits of the members of the government in all the provinces of the country, in order to collect the grievances of the people.

Accompanied by the heads of various services of the ministry that she presented to the public, Dr. Nzeyimana immediately explained the services offered by the ministry before answering questions from some of the participants in that meeting.

The question concerning the squandering of the public treasury by managers of hospitals and health districts in that province was raised and some participants who had the opportunity to speak, admitted it to the Minister. That information was also confirmed by the medical director of the health province of Rutana, mentioning that so far thirteen managers have been arrested and brought to justice.

For that case, the minister responsible for health has warned the managers and leaders of health districts, hospitals, and health centers that anyone caught in such faults will have to pay the losses they have recorded, and will be brought to justice.

Regarding the issue of health personnel in that province complaining that they do not have the communication framework despite its necessity in the workplace, Dr. Nzeyimana called on any leader in the health bodies whether public or private, to give the opportunity for its staff to express themselves on various issues relating to their daily work. It is worthy to note that Minister Nzeyimana called on health personnel to have a heart of love for patients who confide in them in order to offer them quality service.
