CANKUZO January 16th (ABP) – A torrential rain mixed with hail which fell on Thursday, January 12, 2023, in the Mashiga, Saswe, Shinge, Kibungo and Rwamvura villages of Kigamba commune, Cankuzo province, damaged more than 600 hectares of fields of different crops belonging to more than 1000 households.
It also destroyed three classrooms, two of which were demolished, but also a Methodist church which was knocked down.
The technical adviser to the administrator in charge of administrative and social issues, Mrs. Anne-Marie Kariburwe, asks any well-wisher to come to the aid of the victims of that natural disaster.
The situation is thus at a time when several fields in the Cendajuru and Mishiha communes of the same province are in critical condition following the lack of rain.
