KIRUNDO December 30th (ABP) – On the second day of prayer organized by the presidential family, the President of the Republic of Burundi proceeded, on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the stadium of Vumbi commune in Kirundo province (north of Burundi), to the moralization of the country’s executives.

That activity started with the teachings of the parish priest of Mukenke, Father Célestin Nkezabahizi, based on the holy scriptures taken from the Acts of the Apostles.

In his evangelization, Father Nkezabahizi insisted on the biblical person Tabitha who was characterized by courage and good works; hence, he urged the executives of the country and all the civil servants of the State to serve the population, each to the service entrusted to them.

According to him, there are among the authorities those who indulge in fetishism. He advised them to abandon all those obscure acts that compromise their families and their country, rather to tackle the acts that honor their personalities.

The Head of State supported those teachings by expressing that his wish is that all the authorities of the country be exemplary in their services, renouncing speculation aimed at compromising the economy of the country. He also pointed out that people who trust witch doctors, do not deserve to be appointed to lead others. President Ndayishimiye also wished that this prayer would help the people of Kirundo and all the country’s executives to think of good works and renounce evil.
