The President of the Republic leads a moralization session for leaders of religious denominations

BUJUMBURA November 7th (ABP) – The Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye hosted, on Thursday, November 3, 2022, a moralization session for leaders of religious denominations grouped within the African Ministry of Compassion (MAC), under the theme “building Burundi by referring to the word of God”.

The Burundian number one, indicated that Burundians have not yet arrived in their destiny as promised by God. “God has promised us to live in the land of milk and honey. We must pray without ceasing, work without ceasing”, he pointed out.

President Ndayishimiye also indicated that we must be united to forget the painful past and live in complete serenity.

He insisted on the socio-economic development of the country by inviting these leaders of religious denominations to sensitize Christians to tackle income-generating activities. He invited the Burundian population to also come together in self-development associations for socio-economic cohesion.

With regard to the divorces which are occurring and which have become commonplace in the country, the Head of State has asked these church leaders to increase the education sessions for couples on family conflicts and try to find solutions because the problems of the families also affect the country, adding that one cannot arrive in the country of milk and honey without good relations within the homes.

The Head of State is delighted with the change in mentality that is currently being observed in Burundian society and wishes that, if possible, schools be run by pastors or priests for a good education leading child on the right path of respect. from others. This will allow the country to have good leaders capable of promoting good governance.
