The Burundi Prime Minister received in audience the Senate President of the Kingdom of Morocco and President ASSECAA

BUJUMBURA September 20th (ABP) – The Prime Minister of the Republic of Burundi Gervais Ndirakobuca received in audience on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Ntare house, the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Morocco and current President of the Association of Senates, Shoura and Equivalent Councils and of the Arab World (ASSECAA) Mayara Enaam.

At the end of the hearing, Mayara Enaam indicated that the interview focused on ASSECAA and her motivation to choose Burundi to host the 9th ASSECAA consultation meeting. He explained that the choice of Burundi was guided by the bilateral relations existing between Morocco and Burundi, relations of friendship and fraternity between the peoples of the two countries. Those relations are focused on the development of education, agriculture and the environment.

He pointed out that this audience was also an opportunity to reiterate the commitment of the King of Morocco to strengthen these bilateral relations, which are at least 20 years old and which must have an economic, social and cultural impact on the people.

Note that Mayara Enaam arrived in Burundi on Sunday evening September 18 to chair the work of the 9th edition of the ASECA retreat meeting which is being held in Bujumbura from September 19 to 20, 2022.
