GITEGA August 22nd (ABP) – The Minister of Justice, Mrs. Domine Banyankimbona, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, officially launched the campaign to process files in connection with requests for revision and annulment of judgments which have been sent to the minister. It was also an opportunity to set up the office of the ministry in that province in order to reduce the journey to the people of Gitega and neighboring provinces wishing the audience.
In her speech, Mrs. Banyankimbona said that currently the cases of petitions for review and annulment of judgments have become more numerous compared to previous years.
She pointed out that there are people who petition the minister when they know they are not going to win, but just to annoy the other party, which confuses the defender. The Minister called on those people to avoid that bad habit and to get down to sustainable development work to promote their family’s economy.
The Minister of Justice also indicated that 2,500 cases will be processed during the period from August 16 to September 9, 2022.
