NGOZI July 12th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye proceeded, on Saturday July 9, to the presentation of the new governor of the province, Mr. Emmanuel Ntaconsanze to the people. The ceremonies took place at the Agasaka stadium in Ngozi in the presence of a large crowd.

In his speech, the Head of State asked Governor Ntaconsanze to behave like a good father and to work for fair justice throughout the province of Ngozi.

President Ndayishimiye has made it known that a provincial governor is the number one responsible for justice in his province. He must ensure that justice is done fairly for the people. No more question that judges and magistrates use the independence of the judiciary as a pretext to misstate the law. It is true that the body of justice exercises in complete independence. But it is compared to other state institutions, hammered the President of the Republic of Burundi.

He therefore warned justice providers who behave badly in front of litigants. They need to know that they are not above the law. Those who are guilty of corruption or of having an inclination towards litigants must be punished according to the law.

For litigants who request the intervention of the Head of State, President Ndayishimiye insisted that they be first heard by the administrative authorities, including the municipal administrators and then the provincial governors. Only questions that have not been answered by the governor will be able to reach the Head of State.

He asked the new governor of Ngozi to make the question of justice his own, since he is the guarantor of the well-being and development of all the inhabitants of his province. To fully understand the dimension of justice in Ngozi, the President of the Republic has promised to return after the holidays of the members of the government to spend enough time and talk to the population. He returned to the role of nationals and the diaspora in the development of the province. He promised to meet if necessary in Ngozi the members of the diaspora on vacation in Burundi. He asked the new governor of Ngozi to do the same for the nationals and the diaspora of Ngozi

Mr. Ndayishimiye also castigated the behavior of some fathers who spend a lot of time on ligalas. For the Head of State, these men are not worthy of being called fathers of families when they cannot lead by a good example for the well-being and development of their families. Before proceeding to the presentation of the new provincial governor at the stadium, the Head of State had first accomplished the community development works at the new site of the commune Ngozi located just in front of the offices of the commune.
