For more information, he indicated that the installation project of the electronic billing machine is advanced. Its application is developed at the level of the Burundian Revenue Office (OBR), he said, adding that taxpayers are already informed and that some of them have started setting up their billing system. Minister Ndihokubwayo also indicated that a legal framework exists before concluding by expressing that he is confident that this system will be gradually generalized in Burundi.

In addition, the senators proposed to the minister to support the sector of exemptions, arguing that they constitute the central job of the development of economic activity, source of the economic growth of the country, they explained. They pointed out the urgent need to disclose the merits of the investment code in general and that of the exemptions in particular, to encourage entrepreneurs to use it.
