BUJUMBURA May 19th (ABP) – An unidentified disease has broken out since the end of last week in Rubirizi zone, Mutimbuzi commune, Bujumbura province, threatening modern livestock farming, we learned from a well-informed source.

The information collected from veterinary technicians in Mutimbuzi commune indicates that the disease which was observed for the first time in the locality commonly called Kigobe in the Rubirizi zone has as symptoms, hyperthermia which goes up to 40°C, nasal bleeding and mouth, loss of appetite and the animal ends up dying; this cow from the community of priests in Tenga died on Monday.

Those breeders ask the technicians of the national laboratory to take a sample to quickly diagnose the disease in order to deal with it because it is rife even in the provinces of Ngozi and Karusi.
