Opening of the branch of the “Femme Intwari” association, in Buganda commune

CIBITOKE April 5th (ABP) – As part of its program to set up its branches in different communes of Cibitoke province, the Femme Intwari association opened its branch in Buganda commune this Sunday, April 3.

In her speech, the provincial godmother of the said association, Mrs. Alice Nitunga urged her companions to stand out for the love of work, the safeguarding of peace, mutual aid and solidarity for the benefit of the most vulnerable. She also gave advice to the members of the association to preach good examples and by working in cooperatives and initiating small development projects that could obtain loans from the women’s bank, while respecting the law and the institutions of the country. She challenged them to respect their spouses and to dissociate themselves from the authors of the phenomenon of cohabitation.

The governor of Cibitoke province, Mr. Carême Bizoza, in his speech, congratulated the members of the said organization, which continues to settle in the communes, and which reaches three out of six communes in the province. He invited the members of this organization to get involved and contribute in the fight against the phenomenon of polygamy and cohabitation, which is accentuated especially during the dry season, by men who waste crops to maintain concubines.

As for the new representative of the “Femme Intwari” association in Buganda commune, Mrs. Libérate Ntirampeba, she invited the members of her association to take the lead in all development activities, which will be organized by the administration. Note that the ceremonies of the day began with the distribution of aid consisting of maize flour, beans, flour for porridge and milk in sachets, to about forty widowers and orphans of Buganda commune.
