The CECADM members are urged to save more to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development

MWARO March 9th (ABP) – The Director General of the Savings and Credit Cooperative for the Self-Development of the Military (CECADM), Colonel Nestor Bigirimana held, last week, a moralization meeting at the intention of the members of the jurisdiction of the Mwaro province. The purpose of that meeting was to see together the progress of the achievements, the future projects, how the members contribute for the development of their company and finally to see the products and services offered by the CECADM to its members.

After indicating that the CECADM wants to be a long-lasting cooperative of reference, aiming at the well-being of the members in order to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country, Colonel Bigirimana indicated that its mission is to provide financial and non-financial services.

Among the financial products, he cited savings products (retirement savings, etc.) and credit products (social and school products and so on).

With regard to non-financial products, he cited awareness of self-development, guidance in the development and support in the implementation of members’ projects.

To facilitate the members of the CECADM, the latter plans to receive and send money via the mobile phone what it called mobile banking and national monetary switch, the improvement of financial products, the assistance in the realization and implementation of projects. He said that the widows who are members of the cooperative save for their future and that of their children.

The Director General has asked active or retired soldiers, their spouses and veterans to join together in cooperatives or economic groups in order to be assisted by the CECADM.
