The Burundian Senate has unanimously adopted a bill

GITEGA February 16th (ABP) – The plenary assembly of the Burundian senate unanimously adopted, on February 14th 2022, in its chamber of Gitega (center of the country), the bill on the ratification by the Republic of Burundi agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports between the Republic of Burundi governments and the Arab Republic of Egypt was signed on March 24th 2021, in Cairo, Arab Republic from Egypt. The session was marked by the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Albert Shingiro who, represented the government to present the said bill to the members of the Senate and provide them with the necessary clarifications on certain aspects of that legislation.

In his explanatory memorandum, Minister Shingiro said that this bill is part of the promotion of the existing friendship relations between the two countries, to further encourage cooperation for matters of interest and to ensure the smooth flow of officials from each of the two governments.
