185 job seekers are trained in youth entrepreneurship

BUJUMBURA January 28th (ABP) – The Afya Bora Reception, Support and Orientation Medical Center (CMAAO Afya Bora) in collaboration with the Association for Progressive African Youth (AJAP) proceeded on Thursday, January 27, 2022 to Bujumbura at the presentation of certificates to 185 laureates who followed training on youth entrepreneurship, first aid and rational management of cooperatives as well as the official launch of the start of training for 70 candidates registered in the 3rd promotion of that club.

Mr. Éloge Nineza, CEO of the CMAAO Afya Bora center said that the CMAAOHUB club was initiated as part of training young job seekers on project cycle planning and management, on patriotic entrepreneurship, awareness of entrepreneurial culture, creation/management of AGRs-cooperatives and companies, on financial study, exchange of experience in the entrepreneurial field, organization of forums, festivals, debates-exchanges within the framework of empowerment young people. And to add that it is in that perspective that this club organized from October 09 to December 09, 2021 for 185 candidates, training on youth entrepreneurship, first aid and rational management of cooperatives.

CEO Nineza said that Burundi needs to make socio-economic changes by guaranteeing young people quality training and professional skills in the entrepreneurial sector. It must necessarily go through capacity building, the encouragement of innovation as well as the technical support provided to young graduates in order to strengthen their participation in the development of projects, the execution and monitoring of the program. and development policies designed and conceptualized in the national development policy document.

Mr. Nineza hopes that the candidates certified on Thursday found in the CMAAO center everything they needed to meet their aspirations. He recommended that they work in synergy for better progress, because according to him, unity is strength.

Mr. Samuel Niyubahwe, DG of Youth, Sport and Culture, who graced these ceremonies with his presence, hailed the initiative of the Afya Bora reception, support and orientation medical center. He reminded the certified winners that the government of Burundi has put in place mechanisms, including the BIJE Bank and the youth economic empowerment and employment program, allowing them to have the necessary means to initiate their project with a view to fight against unemployment which, according to him, constitutes a time bomb for the country. He advised them to take advantage of these acquired skills by creating their own jobs by setting up businesses or cooperatives and to favor group work.

Mr. Niyubahwe indicated that the actions of the CMAAO is in line with the extension of the projects of the government of Burundi and help the country to reach another level of development.

On behalf of the beneficiaries of the youth entrepreneurship training, Mr. Nkurunziza Thibilisse testified that the entrepreneurship training received will enable them to design and set up various projects that they have in their memories, so that they can develop and give jobs to others. As for Mrs. Nduwimana Francine, the training she received enabled her to overcome the fear she had of underestimating that she can no longer succeed in doing business on her own. Nduwimana called on women and girls not to always leave themselves behind but to work in synergy with others because they too can do what boys do.
