KARUSI January 24th (ABP) – The representation of the Karusi branch red cross, in collaboration with the national blood transfusion center (CNTS) collected blood on Friday 01/21/2022 at the municipal high school of Mutumba.

In an interview with the check by ABP, an anonymous volunteer from the Karusi branch of the Red Cross indicates that he is very satisfied with his intervention in the blood donation being made.

He specified that since January 2021, a total of 2,435 blood bags, including 61 collected at the Mutumba communal high school, have been collected thanks to the awareness and mobilization of Red Cross volunteers.

He also pointed out that the volunteers, through the relief teams and the youth sections go through schools, markets (trading centers),

churches, in short, possible gathering places to talk about the importance of blood donation.

“Blood donation is the gift of life” is our awareness slogan, this Red Cross volunteer tells us.

He deplores the fact that only young people with schooling respond favorably to their call, while those with no schooling are the most numerous. He hopes that by the end of 2022, with the multiplication of youth sections in rural areas on all the hills, the uneducated world will respond to blood donation to save lives.
