BUJUMBURA December 31st (ABP) – On the 3rd day of the national thanksgiving prayer crusade, Prime Minister Alain Guillaume Bunyoni began, during his preaching, with a personal testimony by thanking God for what He did for him, his family and the country. He thanked God for saving him, his family and the country during the hard times the country has gone through. He indicated that those difficult times allowed him to come closer to God. Based on the word of God taken from the Gospel of Matthew 20,29-34, he called on the Burundians to pray in the truth through good works, and not by seeking their interests.

He called for the quest for love and for detaching oneself from sin which only brings evil. To achieve this, he appealed to them to accept Jesus Christ as the only Savior in their lives.

As for the 2nd preacher, Father Dieudonné Nibizi, he based his preaching on the Gospel according to Matthew 6, 24-34. The teaching centered on the search first for the kingdom of God and justice and God will take care of the rest. Dieudonné Nibizi has let it be known that we cannot serve 2 lords.

Thus, he indicated that one must believe in one God. He called on not to be afraid of running out of means of subsistence. For him, we must believe in God with all our heart and he will provide for our needs.

He continued by calling on to make a decision to end this year by having wholeheartedly sought for God, but also to make the decision to build our country through good works.

He ended his remarks by proposing the decisions to be taken so that Burundi can move forward and develop: to believe in God and properly accomplish one’s work.
