The administrative officials are also called on to be characterized by love and cut short with bad behavior, including adultery and ethnicity, in order to make Burundi better in the year 2022 that we will soon begin, insisted the Head of State in his preaching.

In his homily, Bishop Déogratias Shimiyimana, based himself on the theme of the day “Muvyo dukora vyose, Imana ni Icabona” (In everything we do, God is our witness).

By referring to the scriptures found in Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 5, he showed the qualities of a good leader. For him, a leader must be courteous, loyal. They always avoid being a burden to others and perform their duties without hypocrisy, he said.

Moreover, he continued to say, a good leader does everything in righteousness and justice, while referring to the word of God. They help their people to make their dreams come true by giving good advice, Bishop Shimiyimana said.

He did not forget to point out that good leadership begins in the family.
