KIRUNDO December 21st (ABP) – The provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Cankuzo, Mr. Jean Claude Mbarushimana, has indicated that there has been a lot of success during this year of 2021. It was said during the two-day retreat, carried out in Kirundo commune on the shores of Lake Cohoha by the representation of the ruling party at the level of the Kirundo province (north) and at the level of the communes. The retreat was closed on Friday December 17, 2021. The retreat also consisted in evaluating the year 2021 and in planning activities for 2022.
According to Mr. Mbarushimana, the Bagumyabanga have been made much aware of the peace building and security tightening, adding that people are peaceful today. He was also delighted to have welcomed around 10,000 new members to the party during this year 2021.
In the priorities for 2022, the CNDD-FDD party in that province plans to consolidate patriotic training and encourage its members to join cooperatives, with a view to increasing production.
Mr. Mbarushimana called for the environmental protection, especially the protection of the lakes and the extensive exploitation of land near the lakes.
He urged the Bagumyabanga to remain united and to continue to respect the barrier measures taken against Covid-19. After the first day of the retreat, they organized a football match to show the people that sport contributes to the consolidation of social cohesion.
