BUJUMBURA November 26th (ABP) – The soldiers of the Burundian contingent of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), in addition to security maintenance actions, are receiving training in various disciplines. The latest training is that which has just been followed by the nursing staff, we can read on the twitter account of the Burundian ministry in charge of national defense.

The ministry indicates through its twitter account that the medical staff of the staffs of all sectors have just followed a 5-day training course in Mogadishu. The closing ceremonies of this training were chaired by the Commander of the AMISOM Force, Lieutenant General Diomède Ndegeya. The Burundian ministry in charge of national defense also indicates that the drivers of the AMISOM contingent have just completed two training courses, one on driving anti-mine vehicles in Jowhar and the other which was intended for drivers of trucks and machines. of different categories. These trainings will allow the beneficiaries of the training on the one hand to limit the risks associated with improvised explosive devices and on the other hand to properly accomplish their mission.

For practical purposes, there are five soldiers from the 13th Burundian contingent of AMISOM who have just been awarded for having valiantly protected the institutions of Hirshabelle during the senatorial elections in Jowhar Town.
