BUJUMBURA October 17th (ABP) – Gasoline was not found on Thursday October 14, 2021 at several gas stations in the city of Bujumbura, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

Indeed, since morning, long queues have been observed in front of the few service stations that serve this product. Those include the service station commonly known as Chez Kati-Kati located in downtown Bujumbura, the MPS station located in the urban area of Buyenzi and the “the perfect choice” service station located in Nyakabiga zone of the city of Bujumbura.

The few vehicle drivers they met on site at 10:30 a.m. told a check by ABP that they have been looking for that product since the afternoon of Wednesday October 13, 2021 without being able to find any. “I’ve been looking for gas since the afternoon of Wednesday and here I am since the morning. I’m starting to lose hope,” a driver he met on site at the MPS station in the urban area of Buyenzi told a check by ABP.

Those  vehicle drivers ask the competent authorities to take all necessary measures to find a solution to this problem. “We ask the authorities in charge of fuel marketing to take all necessary measures to find a solution to this fuel shortage. We are losing a lot. Spending three to four hours looking for fuel without being able to find it at gas stations is really a huge waste,” another driver told a check by ABP on condition of anonymity.

As a reminder, the fuel shortage also made headlines at the beginning of last September
