Opening of the 2021-2022 academic year at UPI Cibitoke

CIBITOKE October 7th (ABP) – The Integrated Polytechnic University (UPI) of Cibitoke (north-west of Burundi) proceeded Monday, October 4 to the opening of the academic year 2021-2022, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

According to the legal representative of the UPI, Mr. Emmanuel Ndindiriye, that university, which has just completed its fourth year of academic activities, has a particularity of an Entrepreneurship sector among its four sectors with the Entrepreneurship course transversally. in all its sectors. He said that the institution’s objective is to create a breeding ground for the leading executives that the country needs and who will contribute to its development, starting with their communities of origin.

The legal representative of UPI Cibitoke underlined that this university trains job providers instead of job seekers.

According to the rector of the UPI Cibitoke, Dr. Canesius Uwizeyimana, the UPI has four training streams, namely nursing, finance and accounting, entrepreneurship and software engineering and Programming.

To achieve that, the University focuses on the future of its students by combining theory and practice, with the acquisition of knowledge and skills directly leading to the creation of income-generating jobs to contribute to the resolution of unemployment. among young people, said the rector of the UPI. He pointed out that the purpose of the UPI is to ensure a life of descent to the rural population who will see their purchasing power increase.

The UPI constitutes an economic pole and seeks to shine throughout the province and in the other provinces of origin of its laureates, he indicated. He added that the UPI uses full-time and part-time teachers, all selected on the basis of their best qualifications and seniority in higher education.

Note that the UPI is the second private university working in Cibitoke province and Rugombo commune.
