MURAMVYA September 2nd (ABP) – The medical director of the sanitary province, Dr. Polycarpe Ndayikeza has, after the launch of the week of the diabetes and arterial high blood pressure diagnostic campaign in Muramvya province (center-west), know that he is satisfied with the rate of influx of the people from the first day to be diagnosed with those two pathologies which are more related because being associated, either one causes the other, or it is the consequence of others.

From where he indicated that it is high time that the province Muramvya has the knowledge of the prevalence of these two chronic pathologies which are very expensive and which are often discovered towards the stages of complication. It is in case those pathologies are diagnosed and treated early, that their stage of complication is late or will not even come, said Dr. Ndayikeza.

That is why he also lets it be known that he is very satisfied with the organization of that activity linked to screening as it was provided for free by the ministry having health in its attributions via the integrated program of control of chronic non-communicable diseases with the collaboration of WHO.

He reported that the health province does not yet have exact figures on the situation of diabetes and high blood pressure.

Dr. Ndayikeza then recommended the people to come without eating anything in the morning so that at the end of the mass diagnosis, they can have a real and precise situation which will motivate the making of decisions favorable to the healthy health of the people of Muramvya.

Remember that this week of diabetes and arterial hypertension diagnosis campaign will continue until September 2 in the headquarters of Muramvya province and that of Rutegama commune, according to the calendar of that campaign.
