BUJUMBURA March 28th (ABP) – On the sidelines of the National Prayer Breakfast organized on March 26, 2024 by the two houses of parliament, the President of the Republic Evariste Ndayishimiye received in audience a group of English investors from the Company “Global Trade Investment Consultancy”, which wants to explore the investment opportunities offered in Burundi in the field of energy, agriculture and infrastructure.
According to Rosine Guilène Gatoni, spokesperson for the Head of State, their discussions focused mainly on the delight of discovering Burundi differently than what they imagined and discovering the numerous opportunities offered to Burundi, appreciating the numerous natural resources available there. She further indicated that those investors have made their commitment to the President of the Republic to invest very quickly in Burundi particularly in the field of energy, renewable energy, in the sector of infrastructure and especially in the agricultural field. According to Mrs. Gatoni, those investors, in their projects, essentially intend to work in strict compliance with local cultural ideologies as well as the preferences of the Burundians. She specified that Burundi Head of State, on that occasion, reiterated his satisfaction and welcomed them and told them that they come at the right time when Burundi is at the start of a long road towards an emerging Burundi in 2040 and a developed Burundi in 2060.
